Just found you through Lensblr. Aside from wanting to remark on how great your work is, of course I'm gonna ask for a quick rundown on your lighting setups for the beach and portfolio shoots? If you could be so kind, of course. It's all insanely clean.
I’m not really doing anything overly fancy on the beach. Just booming out a PCB Einstein with various modifiers. Vagabond mini for power. It’s a good little portable setup on the whole. I sling it all over one shoulder. I’ve thought about building one of those beach carts though. I recently purchased an Avenger boom stand for studio work and it’s a hell of a step up from the aluminum one, a PCB 13’ cushioned stand and a Wescott boom, I use in the water.
your work is amazing ! whats your favourite lens ?
What’s my favorite lens or what lens do I use the most? I use my 24-70L2 the most. Optically it’s great and it’s really convenient but my favorite lens is the new Sigma 35mm. It feels like quality, it looks damn good, and optically it’s awesome. At the end of the day though you use what fits the need best; they’re just tools. I know that’s not very romantic but it seems silly to fall in love with your gear. Fall in love with your work!
